The IPN Partners team at the BRICS+ New Economy Legal Forum 2025 in the UAE

Today marks the final day of the forum in Dubai, where experts from dozens of countries are discussing the future of the BRICS+ economy and international investment.

Our team, colleagues from the UAE and Moscow offices of IPN Partners, spent a busy day at the forum. These were days of engaging discussions, working meetings, strategic sessions, and new professional connections.

A highlight was the presentation by Daria Makarova, Head of BRICS+ at IPN Partners, at a roundtable discussion on the investment climate in the BRICS+ countries, entitled "Special Economic Zones and Preferential Regimes: Effective Tools for Attracting Investment?"

In her presentation, Daria noted that modern special economic zones are moving beyond simple tax incentives to sustainable legal and digital governance models. She cited examples from China, India, Brazil, and other BRICS+ countries, demonstrating how new zones are built on independent regulation, transparency, and international standards. In conclusion, Daria emphasized that investors today prioritize predictable institutions and the protection of rights, not the scale of tax incentives.
